This workshop covers many areas of the music business. For those interested in the background and business side of music as well as those wishing to perform.

This workshop is split into two sections; the first looks at the many career paths within the Music Industry. Participants may discover one particular area that they wish to go on to learn more about - for example Music Management, Sound engineering, promotions or starting up their own band. There are many career paths within this industry that people can go on to explore. The second part further explores four key areas of the Music business:

  1. Forming a band or group
  2. Getting a record deal
  3. Preparing for an audition
  4. How to get work in the music business

This workshop includes group discussions, trivia and facts on the music business and tons of good advice on how to get ahead in this wide ranging industry.

Professionals within the music industry who have had extensive experience touring, recording, working with bands and record companies etc run this workshop. This workshop creates a fantastic opportunity to sit with someone actively working in the music industry and pick their brains about what it's really like.
