About Top Dog Workshops

For several years now, Top Dog Promotions have been providing entertainment acts that are at the "top of the tree" within their individual arenas.

In addition to the bands, singers, DJs, sports and art entertainers we provide, we also offer a series of creative workshops, designed for full participation, which are a helpful resource to any small group right up to a large-scale event.

The workshops

• Our workshops can run anything from an hour-long session to a whole day of activities. Freelance professionals and semi-professionals in the field the workshop is based around carry them out in a highly informative, fun and engaging format. All of our workshop leaders have experience working with a variety of people of differing abilities but particularly young people; many of them have worked for or with various registered youth charities.
• Benefits for those who take part include boosting self-esteem, helping people to learn and develop new skills, release their creativity and try their hand at something they otherwise may not have had the chance to do. Creative workshops are a great way to engage non-academic learners and those with a low interest in school. • All Top Dog Workshops are accredited with a Certificate. Participants can take this away as evidence of the new skill they have tried and their achievement. Other supporting evidence of participation is available for each workshop in various forms depending on the workshop, including photographs, recordings, information packs and any work they create themselves.
• At the end of each workshop participants are given the opportunity to fill out an "evaluation form". This is useful for the promoter who has booked the workshop to gauge the response of attendees and for us to learn any ways we can improve our workshops as well identify the areas that work particularly well.
• Although set lesson plans are available, workshops can be tailor-made to meet the requirements of your group or event. You can work together with us to assemble a "schedule of work" that suits your needs.
• Prices are based on a day rate. Most workshops work for one or two hour sessions depending on your requirements and the size of the group.
• We have and are continuing to put into place procedures that ensure the efficient, safe and smooth running of all of our workshops so you can come to Top Dog Workshops as a one-stop shop for all your creative requirements with the peace of mind that your booking will be dealt with professionally and in compliance with many of the national government requirements in relation to youth work and skills and learning.
