Free-running has been described as the next level in motion. Top Dog's workshop is a unique and exciting blend of extreme martial art tricking, street acrobatics and free-running/parkour - currently the fastest growing sport in the UK.
Our tutors have over ten years experience in skills ranging from traditional martial arts, parkour and free-running to the tricking world of XMA extreme martial arts. They have also worked as stuntmen and stunt coordinators for many blockbuster film productions.
Combining disciplined backgrounds with acrobatics our tutors are renowned in the world of free-running and parkour, one of them representing the UK in the first ever international free-running tournament, the 2007 Red Bull Art of Motion.
Top Dog's Free-running workshops are led with a strong emphasis on performance and showmanship, which explains why the sport is so successful in the media, for example as famously seen in Casino Royale.
Students will be given an insight into the philosophy behind this art-form and be given the opportunity to learn the skills required to safely execute basic strikes, rolls, twists and flips, whilst recognising the potential risks and hazards to themselves and others. Everything will be taught through the emphasis and motions of body-conditioning, stance, style and technique.
All of our workshops are accredited with a certificate that all partakers can take away with them at the end as proof of their participation and to mark their achievement in learning a new skill.
Many youth schemes require evidence of learners' participation and achievements in wider learning projects to contribute to the young persons file or CV. Top Dog support this by providing other supporting evidence of participation in addition to the Top Dog Certificate of Achievement. Available for this workshop are:
